The 2018 GUBA conference and Awards ceremony has been held in London.
The conference, the first under the GUBA series had the theme “Entrepreneurship for African Growth and Sustainability”.
In attendance at was a team from GOIL led by the Chief Operating Officer, “Mr. Alex Adzew.
The conference discussed topics such as “exploring Business Growth and the significance of Business Sustainability in Africa”.
Scaling up African Business” and “Good Governance for Business sustainability”
Speaker were from the Banking sector, Business executives, Technocrats, energy experts and policy makers from Africa and Europe.
The Conference was crowned with an Award Ceremony which saw many distinguished Ghanaians and Africans in the diaspora
who have excelled in their careers and areas of specialization.
They included, Mr. Ernest Abbeyquaye, a retired Television Producer, Attorney-General, Gloria Akuffo and her predecessor,
Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong who received a joint achievement Award for their role in securing Ghana’s maritime borders in
the recent ITLOS case ruling between Ghana and Ivory Coast.
Former president, Jerry John Rawlings was the Guest speaker.
