GOIL STAFF UNDERGO FIRE DRILL EXERCISE

A fire simulation exercise has been held for staff at the GOIL Head Office in Accra.

The drill was to familiarize and reinforce proper evacuation practices in the event of an actual fire outbreak and for similar emergencies.

Officials of the Ghana Fire Service conducted the simulation exercise and demonstrated emergency procedures needed to be undertaken during any fire outbreak by way of sensitizing staff on the appropriate measures to ensure safety.

The team was led by the Greater Accra Regional Commander, Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Gibril Nuhu. He cautioned all staff to adhere to safety protocols that will always create a conducive working environment.

In agreement, the Head of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) of GOIL, Cyril Opon admonished staff to be conscious of their immediate surroundings and stay aware of their security

Also present at the ceremony were the Greater Accra Regional Training Officer, ACFO Kwame Dua, Safety Officer DOI Evans Osei Owusu, and other officials of the Ghana National Fire Service.
