GOIL has held a durbar for staff to round off 2022 at the GOIL Executive Center in Cantonments, Accra

The durbar organized annually was aimed at keeping staff up to date with the company's overall performance for 2022. It was also used to discuss projections for the year 2023. Long service staff was also recognized.

The durbar also served as a platform for dialogue between staff and management and offered opportunities for discussions and suggestions on ongoing developments in the company including matters of staff welfare.

Present at the ceremony were board Members including the chairman, Mr. Reginald Daniel Laryea, CEO & MD, Mr. Kwame Osei Prempeh, The Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Alex Adzew, the MD for GO Energy, GOIL’s BDC, Mr. Gyamfi Amanquah as well as other Management members.

The Board Chairman, Mr. Reginald Daniel Laryea expressed gratitude to the staff for their hard work and resilience in a tough year. He encouraged management to keep up the good work by striving to achieve more profitability for shareholders.

In agreement, Group CEO and Managing Director, Mr. Kwame Osei Prempeh charged staff to maintain their zeal and commitment to work as GOIL is better off with a dedicated and hardworking team.

He thanked all staff for their diligence and noted that although difficult times lay ahead, he was hopeful with hard work and continued dedication, GOIL will continue to progress in the coming years.

In all, twenty staff who have worked between 10 and 30 years were awarded certificates of honor and cash amounts.

Fifteen staff were honored for 10 years of service, four staff for 15 years, and eight staff were recognized for serving 20 years. The Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Alex Adzew who had served for 30 years was duly recognized.
