GOIL has organized a 10-kilometer health walk on Independence Day in Accra to sensitize the public on the importance of health and keeping fit.

The Walk with GOIL dubbed ‘Good Energy for a healthy Nation’ was also intended to draw awareness of the need to stay fit to meaningfully contribute to national development.

The walk was led by the Group CEO & Managing Director of GOIL, Mr. Kwame Osei Prempeh, Board Chairman, Mr. Reginald Laryea together, and GOIL’s brand ambassador, Azumah Nelson.

Also in attendance were heads of departments, some Zonal managers, unit heads, and staff of GOIL.

The two-hour walk began at the El-Wak Sports Stadium through the 37 Military hospital road towards the DVLA head office before ending at the El-Wak sports stadium. The climax was a 15-minute aerobics exercise after which special awards were presented to some participants. The awards were the Group CEO Special Award, Good Energy Award, and the Brand Ambassador Award.

Other participating institutions and partners included the Greater Accra Keep Fit Club, Ghana National Association of Garages, Ghana Commercial Bank, Consolidated Bank Ghana, Bidi Group, University of Ghana, and the University of Professional Studies (UPSA).

Others were the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) Knutsford University College, Herbal Life Nutrition, Rite Sports Ltd, AOMC, and COPEC.
