GOIL has opened an ultra-modern and multi- purpose fuel service station at Ahodwo, in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The newly- commissioned station located near the Ahodwo round about is expected to serve the increasing commercial enclave of the Ashanti Regional capital.
The opening of the station brings the number of stations in the middle belt marketing zone of the company to 80.
The zone encompasses the commercially important Kumasi Metropolitan area and some part of Western North Region.
The multi-purpose station apart from fuel retailing, is equipped with a GOCafe, Pharmacy, a modern GO service and Tyre vulcanizing center
Speaking at the commissioning, Group CEO and Managing Director of GOIL, Mr. Kwame Osei Prempeh expressed satisfaction with the addition of an ultra-modern station to the several other outlets already operating within the zone.
He continued to entreat the public to patronize the station as it will serve the public with the company’s high-grade fuels Super XP RON 95, Diesel XP and premium lubricants.
Present at the event also were Zonal Manager of the Middle Belt marketing zone, Mr Thomas Domfeh, Dealer of the station, Mr. Isaac Owusu, Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll, Asantehene represented by Oheneba Owusu Kokoo, Otumfo Asanponghene, Mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Hon Samuel Pyne, CEO of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Prof. Addae Mensah, officials from NPA, senior officers from the security services as well as some commercial and private drivers of the area.
